Bolivar Cofradia Adds a 7x70 at Ten Bucks

Scandinavian Tobacco Group has started shipping 7 x 70 versions of its Bolivar Cofradia lineup, adding the big-ring format to both the standard Cofradia and the Cofradia Oscuro at $10.09 per cigar in boxes of 20. The blends are unchanged: the regular Cofradia runs an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper over a Connecticut-seed binder with Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers, while the Oscuro swaps in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and an Ecuadorian binder over the same filler blend. Both are made at the STG Danli factory in Honduras. The Cofradia lines have long sat in that underappreciated tier of cigars that reviewers recommend and casual smokers overlook -- solid construction, honest tobacco character, retail pricing that does not require an apology. Adding a 770 keeps that value proposition intact while giving big-ring fans an easy answer when they want a long session smoke without spending $15 and up. STG says the new vitolas are at retail now.
