Ruger Puts Its Name on Bourbon and Two Cigars

Firearms brands keep drifting into the humidor, and the latest is a full lifestyle bundle.

Firearms brands keep drifting into the humidor, and the latest is a full lifestyle bundle. Hooten Young has signed a licensing deal with Sturm, Ruger for Ruger Whiskey and Cigars, landing October 14 as an online exclusive. The bourbon is the headline: 1,776 individually numbered bottles of seven-year Kentucky whiskey finished in Speyside-reference char barrels and bottled in Jacksonville at 96 proof, priced at $45.99. The cigar side brings two blends, both 6 x 54 out of Esteli. Rim Fire is a medium-bodied Connecticut Shade smoke, while Center Fire goes medium-to-full under a San Andres wrapper. Both run $20 in twenty-count boxes or four-packs. If the 1,776-bottle gimmick sounds familiar, that is the point: this is squarely aimed at the shooting-sports crowd that already treats cigar accessories as range-day gear, and pre-sales start at 1pm ET on the Hooten Young store.
