HVC Finally Ships Its First Lancero

HVC teased a lancero back in April with a Father's Day target, the holiday came and went, and now, months later, the 500 Years Lancero Only Legends is actually heading to stores. It was worth the wait for lancero loyalists: a 7 1/2 x 38 Nicaraguan puro built around a Corojo 99 Jalapa wrapper with Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 filler, priced at $12.80 in ten-count boxes. The catch is scarcity. HVC capped production at 5,000 cigars total, making this a true limited run inside what is otherwise a regular-production line. The 500 Years series has been around since 2019, commemorating the 500th anniversary of Havana's founding, and this is the first lancero the company has released in its 15-year history. Small-batch lanceros at under thirteen dollars rarely sit on shelves long, and this one ships as of September 24.
