Micallef Orange Joins the Color Series

Micallef Cigars is adding Orange as the seventh entry in its Color Series, using an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a San Andres Habano binder and Nicaraguan-Dominican fillers. The line will debut at select retailers on August 27 before a nationwide release on September 5, offered as a Robusto at $8 and a Toro at $9. Those prices keep the series firmly in the accessible, everyday-smoke tier at a time when many houses are pushing $15 and $20 core lines. The choice of Connecticut wrapper is also telling: milder profiles are making a quiet comeback as smokers look for value without sacrificing construction. Sold through family-owned brick-and-mortar stores and their online channels, Orange is positioned as a humidor staple rather than a collector's item.
