Encore Noir Gets a Full-Nicaraguan Follow-Up

Casa Carrillo has released the Encore Noir II as an international market exclusive, marking a significant departure from the 2024 original: where the first Encore Noir drew on an Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, the sequel is built entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco from wrapper to foot. The vitola is a 6 1/8 x 50 Celestial No. 2, production is capped at 1,500 boxes of 10, and the cigars are rolled at the company's factory in the Dominican Republic. Most of those boxes head outside the U.S., but Two Guys Cigars in New Hampshire snapped up 250 boxes for a launch weekend on July 24 and 25, with both Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo III in attendance. Price at the event is $17 per cigar; international pricing is still unannounced. The all-Nicaraguan direction signals a deliberate contrast: where the original series leaned into Ecuadorian wrapper character, the II is chasing density and intensity. How it reads next to the original is going to be the conversation at that launch.
