Casa Carrillo Doubles Up Its 250th Anniversary Pledge

Plenty of companies used America's 250th birthday as an excuse to bolt a flag onto another limited edition. Casa Carrillo at least committed to the bit. Its Pledge of Allegiance line, released each July 4 since 2023, marks the semiquincentennial with the returning Rockets perfecto in not one but two new blends. The Blue wears a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over a Connecticut Habano binder, while the Red flips the script with Connecticut Broadleaf outside and Pennsylvania 41 Broadleaf inside; both carry all-American Connecticut and Pennsylvania filler. True to the series' gimmick, production is 250 boxes of each, matching the years since 1776. The presentation has drawn notice as some of the best anniversary packaging this year, in a field where most entrants phoned it in. Since 2023 the line has produced eight distinct cigars, and this dual-blend edition is the most elaborate yet.
