The Subreddit Is Already Ranking the Best Cigars of 2026

Cigar season is not over, but r/cigars is already voting. A thread asking for everyone's top five cigars of 2026 so far drew a crowd this week, with early lists led by the Room 101 Johnny Tobaconaut, the Lure Wahoo Ono, and Viaje's Birthday Blend. The community also got a rare visit from the other side of the fence: the husband-and-wife founders behind new Texas brand Brolo Cigar Co. posted directly to the sub after their launch picked up coverage across all three major cigar outlets, and the reception was warm rather than promotional. That kind of founder-to-community engagement is exactly the playbook Brolo is betting its brick-and-mortar-only business on. Between the year-end listicles starting early and a new brand doing its own outreach, the subreddit's gift-guide season is clearly underway.
