Diesel Uncaged Ships Nationwide: A Sub-$8 Regular Production Line from AJ Fernandez

Diesel Uncaged began shipping to retailers on August 1, 2026, the newest regular-production addition to a brand that has spent more than a decade building its reputation on bold, Nicaraguan-forward cigars. Forged Cigar Company, the Scandinavian Tobacco Group subsidiary that owns Diesel Cigars, is positioning Uncaged as the line that distills the Diesel identity into a single, approachable smoke.

The blend is straightforward and entirely Nicaraguan. A Habano Criollo wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, all rolled at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Esteli. Three sizes make up the launch: a Robusto at 5 1/2 x 52 for $6.29, a Toro at 6 x 52 for $6.89, and a Gigante at 6 x 60 for $7.39. Every size ships in 20-count boxes.

Joe Krzyston, brand manager for Diesel, called Uncaged "all of the best of Diesel in one cigar: unapologetic, unexpected, and simply bold by design," adding that it is "aggressive enough to shake things up and balanced enough to be your everyday smoke." The packaging reinforces the name. The 20-count box is built from semi-transparent material printed with a chain-link fence pattern, a visual cue that the cigar is meant to read as raw and unconfined rather than polished and conventional.

At a moment when many new releases chase limited-edition scarcity or premium price tags, Uncaged is deliberately sub-$8 and regular production. That combination is a bet that Diesel's audience still wants an everyday Nicaraguan puro from a familiar blender, sold in packaging loud enough to stand out on a humidor shelf. The first boxes are already in stores.
